New lupus drug?

Lupus affects many more women then men, although men do get it, and some get it very badly. It is possible that it having been looked upon as a "woman's disease" for so long affected research interest in and funding for the disease.

There has been no new drug approved for lupus in 50 years.

However...one may just have a shot at it, coming soon.

I get always so sad when I hear about your problems. If it is any consolation, I think you are a very brave woman. And I am hoping from the bottom of my heart that research will bring drugs that will help everyone who suffers from lupus.
Thank you for always being so kind in your comments at my place, it means so much.

About Me

My photo
I've travelled the distance from an Ivy League college to decades of enforced poverty--because I've needed to qualify for government health care in the U.S., since being diagnosed with lupus at the age of 23. I have a personal blog at http://beepbeep.livejournal.com that I've had so long I'm probably stuck with :) My other blogs are here on blogger...
